Contributor Submissions

The Basinga Magazine will accept articles, letters and diary dates entries from residents and non-residents of the Parish which will be of interest to people living in the Parish. The Basinga does not guarantee to include an article in any particular issue and reserves the right to edit articles to suit the space available.


SUBMITTING AN ARTICLE FOR THE BASINGA

Articles should be informative in content and of interest to the residents of Old Basing and Lychpit Parish, and should not exceed 300 words.  They should be non-commercial and whilst it is permitted within the article to refer to a forthcoming paid event, the advertising of admission charges etc is not permitted. Such advertising should use the Classified Ads Selection. It is recommended that reference is made to a copy of the Basinga to review the type of article accepted.

Submissions should be made via the web site on the link below or can be sent  in an email directly to the Editor at editor@basinga.org.uk using MS Word for an attachment.  Note: Articles submitted directly to the Editor must include your Name, Address, Telephone Number and an e-mail address wherever possible.

All references to submissions using MS Word for attachments requires content to be in typed text only. Do not include logos, letter headings or  pdf text/graphics  imported in the form of letterheads, leaflets or posters etc. Such submissions may be returned to you for correction.

SUBMITTING A LETTER TO THE BASINGA MAGAZINE

Letters to the Editor that are of interest to the Parish will be accepted at the discretion of the Editor that are of interest to the Parish. Whilst replies to letters published are welcomed it should be borne in mind that the Basinga is not a forum by which to offend members of the community and as such any right of reply will depend on the content and if there are recurring replies on the same subject it may be terminated.

This is a short one-line description of your event, including the date, time and venue of the event.  See the Basinga “Diary Dates” page for typical entries.
