Rotary Christmas Shoebox Appeal – Thank You

Santa with ShoeboxesA huge thank you to all who filled shoeboxes for our annual appeal. We couldn’t do this without the generosity of our local community who help spread happiness to children who have little.

857 shoeboxes from our club, full of warm hats & gloves and children’s toys etc. are, together with those collected from all over the Wessex region, on their way, to deprived and displaced children in Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Ukraine (All countries currently are supporting displaced Children from Ukraine).

Boxes are accompanied by Rotarians from our Rotary district and will be delivered into the hands of Rotarians in those countries to be distributed. In 2023 our Wessex Rotary District delivered 18,779 and 25 cartons of woollen items some hand knitted and other clothing.
