Scotland’s railways are some of the most scenic in Britain and on Wednesday 11th October we will take a tour North of the Border – from the Tweed to Thurso with Raymond Schofield. Our travels, from 1963 to the present day, will include Edinburgh, the Forth Bridge, Glasgow, the West Highland line to Mallaig, Kyle of Lochalsh, Inverness and Thurso and many will feature steam traction.
Society members will contribute a selection of their recent pictures, assembled by David Brace, to Members’ Photo Night on Wednesday 25th October. A great variety of subject matter and locations, some local and some far afield, is guaranteed.
Our meetings are at 7.45pm at The Wote Street Club in New Road in Basingstoke town centre, RG21 7NG, which has a licenced bar and usually conclude by 10.00pm. Do join us for these meeting, either by becoming a Society member or as a visitor (at a cost of just £5). Membership details are on our website at www.bdrs70d.com or call the Secretary on 07837 320790.
