SHELTERBOX

The UK-based international charity SHELTERBOX was founded by the Rotary Club of Helston, Cornwall. Working alongside UNICEF & other international charities, it provides emergency shelter & survival kits to 1000’s of families who have lost everything through natural disasters. A full Shelterbox provides a robust tent and the basic essentials for sleeping, cooking and water purification for a family of 10 to survive for 6 months. If needed in that area mosquito nets will be included. There will also be small toys and books and pencils for children. SHELTER KIT’s,and SHELTER TOOL KIT’s used to build and repair are also needed. The contents of these kits are tailored to the need in the area and may include tarpaulin, ropes, tie wire, handsaw, nails, hammer, axes & other items.
