Roundup

Cardiac Unit Basingstoke Hospital

The hospital has an amazing new Cardiac Unit with some very special new equipment allowing treatments to now take place in Basingstoke. The specialist equipment needs to be kept cool and that means that the nursed are working in an area that is 16°C. We heard about this and we’ve been able to supply the nurses in the Cardiac Unit warm branded fleeces. We are now arranging warm fleeces for the doctors as well.

A New President for 2023-24

Julian Ricketts

President Julian Ricketts

Our Rotary year begins each July and we welcome our new President Julian Ricketts as he takes over from Dave Knights. Julian may be familiar to you, this is not the first time he’s been President and he is also an enthusiastic presenter for Basingstoke Community Radio www.radioforbasingstoke.co.uk and credits his public speaking ability to his time in Rotary.

You’ll find Julian’s show Day times with Jules. Sunday morning 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Basingstoke Deane Rotary is a group of 35 men & women from a wide variety of backgrounds. All live locally in the borough but some commute to work outside Basingstoke. Most joined Rotary to help others less fortunate, and they find Basingstoke Deane Rotary adds another extremely enjoyable dimension to their lives.

If you would like to find out more about how we enjoy ourselves, just tune in to www.rcbd.org.uk to see what we have coming up, or contact Helen or Paul above to find out more . We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
