Rotary Christmas Shoebox Thank You

A huge thanks to all who contributed shoeboxes for our annual appeal, 670 shoeboxes full of toys and warm gloves & hats etc. are on the way to under-privileged children in Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Albania. We couldn’t do this without the generosity of our local community who help spread a little happiness to children who have little. We were donated a huge amount of beautiful hand knitted clothes and toys, too many to go in in the shoeboxes but we were able to fill 9 packing cases with these knitted items, they will be delivered into the hands of Rotarians in those countries to distribute those in need. Through our Rotary channels a number of shoeboxes and some warm knitted items are also on their way to children in Ukraine. Our Wessex District Rotary sent 18,000 Christmas shoeboxes in 2021 from Hampshire.
