What is Rotary?

Rotary is about helping communities, both local and internationally through our network of clubs with 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. It is a non-religious and non-political organization comprised of both men and women. There are 75 clubs in our Wessex area which covers most of Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, and parts of Dorset and Wiltshire, and we do some fantastic work each year. Become a Friend of Rotary

Have fun volunteering with us and help our local community.

We have a wide variety of local events including, – St Michael’s Hospice Moonlight Walk, Light Up a Life, and The Reindeer Run. Basingstoke Half Marathon, Camrose Christmas Lunch. As well as our own fundraising events, The Royal Marines Concert at The Anvil.

We’re particularly looking for a team of volunteers to help us with Basingstoke Festival of Transport, see above. Anything from a couple of hours upwards.

Basingstoke Deane Rotary is a group of 35 men & women from a wide variety of backgrounds. All live locally in the borough but some commute to work outside Basingstoke. Most joined Rotary to help others less fortunate, and they find Basingstoke Deane Rotary adds another extremely enjoyable dimension to their lives.
