BDDF – Basingstoke & District Disability Forum – the local charity for our disabled community continues to run regular free activities. Please follow us on social media and check the latest news on our website www.bddf.org.uk.
Activities include walking groups (Wednesdays & Thursdays); online winter coffee mornings called Friday Tea Break Club; and weekly mobility improving seated yoga (both online and face to face). Note all require pre booking.
Covid allowing, our next Disability Information Day will be held at Basingstoke’s Malls shopping centre on 26th March 2021. This event is an opportunity to gain information, support and advice on disability related subjects from local organisations, businesses and government departments.
We are keen to start up a new in person support group for those affected by disability who would like to meet new people in a safe environment. If this is something you would be interested in, please email info@bddf.org.uk.
Do you have a disability related question and don’t know which was to turn? BDDF have extensive signposting information. We can point you in the direction of the service or local organisation who will be able to help.
Volunteer opportunities – BDDF are looking for Walk Leaders (one hour per week commitment) to lead fully accessible & inclusive gentle walks in your local area.
Keep in touch – As well as following BDDF on social media, or visiting our website, you can sign up to be a BDDF Member (free) and will receive our regular newsletter detailing our latest events and services.
Thank you to everyone who has kindly supported and joined BDDF during a very difficult year for charities.
“Be happy in the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.”

BDDF wish you and your families a very merry Christmas.
