First Clump of Frog Spawn

After several false starts due to adverse weather the frogs in my pond have finally started to spawn with the laying of the first clump of spawn yesterday, the first day of spring. There is not a lot of action yet but if the weather continues to be mild it should pick up.

With respect to dates it is the latest start to spawning I have observed for my pond. One day later than 2010 in which was also a snowy year.
