Announcing launch of a new website called One Eighty

We are directly responding to feedback from our Youth Commission’s Big Conversation, where young people told us they weren’t aware of much to do and needed help with accessing activities. Therefore we are delighted to announce the launch of a new website called One Eighty https://oneeighty.live.

Free and low cost

One Eighty is designed to be a vehicle that houses a directory of free and low cost activities and things for young people to do, targeted predominately at 8-15 year olds but can host activities for 15+ too. The site has been designed with Youth Commission members, who have told us they want to be able to filter by area and activity, and to have as much detail as possible, for example how to get there and what to expect.

Therefore we are looking to our partners to populate the site with all the open access and available opportunities you are running (including volunteering), to ensure that young people see the page as valuable and something to revisit – they will be able to ‘like’ their favourites.

The site will be live 365 days a year but we expect traffic to be at its peak in the school holidays. The OPCC will promote the site and highlight activities through standalone Instagram and Facebook accounts, and if we all advertise and encourage young people to use it, the more successful it will be!

Getting involved

Working together we can list what is available, enabling young people to attend your provision, providing the opportunities to connect with others, be involved in positive events and activities, and ‘do a one eighty’.

In order to list your opportunities please complete this form for each activity, note each submission will generate an email copy of the information, so you can copy and paste the information that is the same for each activity. Please note you will require a google account, however this can be linked to your work email address by clicking the use my current email address instead option.
