National Women’s Register is a Nationwide organisation providing a wide range of talks and activities. There is an annual national conference discussing issues of the day and this October there is to be a Nationwide Walk aiming to cover a combined total of 628 miles. We also look forward to the very popular Nationwide Telephone Quiz in November. This is an evening meeting which is great fun and has us all scratching our heads trying to decipher the cryptic clues.
Each local group however, is unique and individual, arranging activities and meetings to suit their particular members. Our group enjoys chatting and eating so this month we indulged both these activities with an evening meeting, of Mains and Music. Our Local Organiser was a splendid host providing a delicious mains course while others brought puddings and wine and a good time was had by all.
We also have a monthly lunch club trying out various local venues on different days of the week and our Reading groups meets at 8pm on 4th Thursday of the month.
If you would like to make new friends and take advantage of all that our organisation can offer do come along. We meet in member’s homes, usually at 2pm on the first Monday of the month but occasionally in the evening.
