National Women’s Register – Chineham and Old Basing

Have you recently moved house? Are you newly retired? Or simply want to meet people and make new friends? Then National Women’s Register (NWR) could be for you. The mission of NWR is to connect women who are interested in everything and talk about anything.

Our style is very informal and relaxed with local group meetings offering conversation, friendship and fun. We have over 300 groups nationwide, with each group creating its own programme of events and activities, balancing serious subjects with those that are lighter. There are even online NWR Groups for those unable to find a local Group which meets at a convenient time. All members can also access Zoom talks on a variety of topics which are included in the annual subscription fee of £32.

Chineham and Old Basing NWR meet on the 1st Monday at 2pm hosted in different houses. In December we enjoyed a Christmas banquet with bubbly and excellent company prepared by five of our members and served in the Old Basing Cricket Pavilion.

In January we discussed topics beginning with H (which we refer to as Alphabet Soup). In February we will plan our programme for the next year. Why not come and suggest things you would like to do. We also meet for monthly lunches in a local pub and some of us discuss a chosen book on the 4th Thursday evening.
