Friends of St Michael’s Hospice

Carol Service

The Friends of St. Michael’s Hospice are holding a carol service on Tuesday 12th December at all Saints Church, Odiham. Doors open 6.30pm – drinks and canapes.

The Service, commencing 7pm, which will include the Schola Cantorum of Oxford and a reading by Clare Balding, CBE. We hope you will be able to join us in our celebration of Christmas.

Ploughman’s Lunch

Ploughman’s Lunch at the Parish Room, St Mary’s Church, on Thursday, 16th November at 12.25pm. It is important to book in advance as numbers are limited. Telephone 07946 596778 to secure a place.

Mr Flaherty’s Private Theatricals is a local theatre group that will be performing A Christmas Carol from Thurday, 14th to Saturday, 16th December, at 7.30pm, at the

Boogie-ing Lions

70s/80s Night

Remember the 70s? Remember the 80s? The Basingstoke Lions Club is devoting an entire evening to the much-loved hits of that era, enabling you to step back in time and relive a musical period that lingers on in the memory. It takes place on Friday, 17th November, 7 to 11pm, at the Royal British Legion (Crown Lane, Old Basing, RG24 7DG). Basingstoke Choral Society

Verdi Requiem

Basingstoke Choral Society will be performing the powerful Verdi Requiem off-score at 3pm on Sunday, 26th November, in The Anvil, Basingstoke, accompanied by the Docklands Sinfonia and the international soprano soloist Erica Eloff, all under the direction of David Gibson. First performed and conducted by Giuseppe Verdi in Milan in 1874, the Requiem has become one of the most popular choral works performed worldwide including a performance in New York on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
