For our first presentation this month we will welcome back Alastair Wood on Wednesday 11th February with Even More Old, New, Borrowed and Blue. Two years since he was last with us, Alastair, always entertaining, will travel through time and around the country with a new selection of pictures from his personal and archive collections.
Two weeks later, on Wednesday 25th February we will travel to a favourite part of Europe for tourists and railway enthusiasts as Steve Ollive presents An A to Z of Swiss Railways Part 1. Steve will look at the main passenger, freight and infrastructure operators in the country, together with private railways from A to C, giving a brief overview of the history and routes concerned with a look at their rolling stock and ongoing changes.
Our meetings are at 7.45pm at The Wote Street Club in New Road in Basingstoke town centre, RG21 7NG, which has a licenced bar and usually conclude by 10.00pm.
