Firstly, my apologies to anyone who attended our meeting on Wednesday 10 November expecting to hear about the Lymington Junction to Christchurch ‘Direct Line’. Our speaker was, sadly, indisposed and Society member Ian Francis stepped in with a selection of his favourite pictures.
We will have only one meeting in December. On Wednesday 15 December our annual Christmas film night will be showing ‘Night Train to Paris’, starring Leslie Nielsen. This feast of nostalgia from 1964 will be followed by a buffet provided by the Wote Street Club, our special raffle and a social evening.
This is a Members Only meeting so if you would like to join us at The Wote Street Club in New Road in Basingstoke town centre you will have to become a member. Annual membership is currently just £7 and will extend all through 2022 when we hope to have a full programme of twice-monthly meetings.
