NWR is a Nationwide organisation for women looking to meet other women to share ideas and to enjoy a variety of events in a friendly and supportive environment. The National Group provides a wide range of talks and activities and this month it is the very popular Nationwide Telephone Quiz. This is an evening meeting which is great fun and has us all scratching our heads trying to decipher the cryptic clues. Locally our Christmas committee is busily planning our annual lunch which is held in the Old Basing Cricket Pavilion on the first Monday in December. This small group manages to provide a feast of good food and drink with quizzes and gifts plus lots of opportunities to mingle and chat all for an amazingly small cost.
Each local group, is unique and individual, arranging activities and meetings to suit their members. Our group particularly enjoys chatting and eating so we include these activities at every opportunity.
We have a monthly lunch club trying out various local venues on different days of the week and we also have a Reading group that meets at 8pm on 4th Thursday of the month.
If you would like to make new friends and take advantage of all that our organisation can offer do come along. We meet in member’s homes, usually at 2pm on the first Monday of the month but occasionally in the evening.
