Chineham and Old Basing NWR meet on the first Monday of the month at 2pm in different members’ houses. We prefer to participate in meetings involving food and drink, or discussions, rather than having an outside speaker. Some of our members meet monthly on the fourth Thursday evening to discuss the chosen book and a monthly lunch is also arranged in a local venue on different days.
The National Office also arranges Zoom talks and a series of lessons such as drawing or sign language at no extra cost, as well as a national quiz evening, all for just an annual subscription of £32.
The subject of our meeting this month was “Newspaper Cuttings” where members produced various cuttings they thought would interest the group. As usual the conversation was lively followed by home made cake – delicious.
