Make the most of life and join nearly 5000 others who have discovered the relatively unknown National Women’s Register. NWR provides a wide range of talks and activities in small local groups typically less than 20 members. Each is unique, arranging activities and meetings to suit their members. Chineham and Old Basing NWR meets at 2.00pm on the first Monday of the month in each other’s houses. We enjoy getting together to research and talk about different topics.
This month the subject of our meeting was “Characteristics of the Elements” where we each chose and researched one of the elements of which there are over 100. We talked about Gold, Lithium, Potassium, Copper, Aluminium and Sodium. This may sound very intellectual but the conversation lightens when refreshments are served.
There is usually a monthly lunch at various local venues on different days of the week, as well as a Book Group which meets at 8pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. Last month we had a very good lunch at Capital Gardens, Sherfield on Loddon where we were well looked after, and some of us took the opportunity to browse around the garden centre afterwards.
