Make the most of life and join nearly 5000 others who have discovered the relatively unknown National Women’s Register.
NWR provides a wide range of talks and activities in small local groups typically less than 20 members. Each is unique, arranging activities and meetings to suit their members. Chineham and Old Basing NWR meets at 2.00pm on the first Monday of the month in each other’s houses.
We enjoy getting together to research and talk about different topics. There is usually a monthly lunch at various local venues on different days of the week, as well as a Book Group which meets on the fourth Thursday of the month. This month we welcomed two new members to our group when we discussed Superstitions, do they influence our lives, which ones were we told as a child. As usual this led to a very lively discussion on a very hot afternoon but our lovely host provided iced water as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and cake, and lots of fans to try and keep us cool.
New members are very welcome, for more information please visit www.nwr.org.uk or if you think you would like to join our friendly group please contact Diane at diane.hope@tiscali.co.uk or on 07771 898733.
